Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 23, 2026
1. Introduction
Mare Games OÜ (“we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use our mobile games and related services (collectively, the “Services”). It applies to our published games, Gravital and QuizBattle.
2. Data Controller
Mare Games OÜ, a company registered in Estonia, is the data controller for personal data processed under this Policy.

3. Information We Collect
- Account data (QuizBattle only). QuizBattle offers sign in with Google and, on iOS, sign in with Apple. When you sign in, we receive a unique user identifier, the name and email address your sign-in provider shares with us, and a secure authentication token. Gravital has no account and never asks you to register. On Android, Gravital connects silently to Google Play Games Services to save your achievement progress, which shares your Play Games player identifier and your achievements with us, not your name or email address.
- Gameplay and usage data. Both games send usage events to our analytics services: app opens, session start and duration, gameplay activity such as matches, runs, and level completions, screen views, and in-app purchase events, together with a randomly generated installation identifier and standard device information such as model, operating system version, and language. In QuizBattle this also includes match and solo results, advertising revenue amounts, purchase validation results, your approximate location (country only, derived from your IP address and never more precise than that), and your current league tier. Analytics data is tied to installation identifiers, not to your name, email address, or account.
- Crash and diagnostics data. Crash logs, stack traces, and device state at the time of a crash, such as available memory, operating system version, and device model. We use this data solely to find and fix stability issues.
- Purchase data. If you make an in-app purchase, the Apple App Store or Google Play processes the payment. We receive the purchase and receipt data needed to validate the transaction and deliver what you bought, and a purchase event is recorded in our analytics. We never receive your payment card details.
- Advertising data. Both games show in-game advertisements through an ad mediation platform that passes ad requests to participating ad networks. These partners may receive your device’s advertising identifier (the Apple Advertising Identifier on iOS, where you allow tracking, and the Android Advertising ID on Android), standard device signals such as model, operating system, language, and a coarse region derived from your IP address, and ad interaction events such as impressions, clicks, and completed views. This data is used to select, deliver, and measure advertising, to attribute installs to marketing campaigns, and to limit how often you see the same ad. Because this constitutes tracking as Apple defines it, we present the App Tracking Transparency prompt described in Section 4.
- Marketing attribution data. Both games use attribution partners, including Meta and TikTok, to measure which marketing campaign brought a player to the game. These partners receive install and in-app events, purchase value and currency, and device and advertising identifiers.
- Support communications. If you contact us, we collect the information you provide, such as your email address, your message, and any attachments.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive categories of personal data.
4. Your Advertising and Privacy Choices
- App Tracking Transparency (iOS). After you make your choice in the in-game privacy banner, Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt asks whether you allow us to track you across apps and websites owned by other companies. If you allow it, our advertising and attribution partners may use your device’s advertising identifier. If you decline, they do not receive it, and you will still see ads, just less relevant ones. You can change this choice at any time in your device Settings under Privacy & Security, Tracking.
- Android advertising ID. On Android you can delete or reset your advertising ID at any time in your device Settings under Privacy, Ads.
- In-game privacy banner. On first launch each game asks for your choice. In Gravital, the banner asks whether you consent to analytics and advertising; if you decline, the analytics, advertising, and attribution services are not started. In QuizBattle, the banner asks whether ads may be personalized to you; if you decline, you see non-personalized ads and our advertising and attribution partners are instructed not to use your data for ad personalization, while gameplay and purchase analytics continue so that we can run, improve, and secure the game. In both games you can change your choice at any time from the in-game Settings screen.
- No selling, no data brokers. We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it with data brokers. We do not use your data to build profiles about you beyond the advertising measurement described above.
5. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Authenticate you and provide account-based features.
- Operate, maintain, and improve gameplay, matchmaking, and balance.
- Understand player behavior and improve the player experience.
- Measure our revenue and the performance of our marketing.
- Detect, prevent, and fix bugs, crashes, fraud, and security incidents.
- Respond to your requests and provide player support.
6. Legal Bases (EEA and UK)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your data under these legal bases:
- Contract: to provide the Services you request.
- Legitimate interests: to operate, improve, and secure the Services and to prevent fraud. In QuizBattle this includes gameplay and purchase analytics and accurate revenue measurement. This processing uses installation identifiers rather than your account identity, and you can object to it at any time by contacting us at the address in Section 2.
- Consent: for advertising and marketing attribution in both games, and for analytics in Gravital. You give or refuse consent in the in-game privacy banner and, on iOS, through the App Tracking Transparency prompt, and you can withdraw it at any time as described in Section 4.
- Legal obligation: to keep records we are required to keep, such as transaction records.
7. Who Receives Your Data
We share personal data only with the categories of service providers listed below. Each receives only the data described in Section 3 and processes it under its own privacy policy and data protection terms.
- Analytics and crash reporting providers, which receive usage events, crash reports, and installation identifiers.
- A configuration delivery service, which receives an installation identifier and basic device information so the game can load its settings. This runs regardless of your consent choice because it supplies the default settings the game needs in order to start.
- An ad mediation platform and its participating ad networks, which receive the advertising data described in Section 3.
- Marketing attribution partners, including Meta and TikTok, which receive the attribution data described in Section 3.
- Sign-in providers, Google and, on iOS, Apple, when you use them to sign in to QuizBattle, and Google Play Games Services in Gravital on Android.
- The Apple App Store and Google Play, which process payments and share the receipt data needed to complete and validate purchases.
8. International Transfers
Our service providers may process data on servers outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
9. Data Retention
We retain personal data only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy:
- Account data is kept while your account is active and deleted when your account is deleted.
- Analytics and crash data is retained for up to 26 months, after which it is deleted or reduced to aggregated form.
- Support communications are kept as long as needed to resolve your request and to comply with legal obligations.
10. Children's Privacy
Our games are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Your Rights
Depending on your region, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to processing, to withdraw consent, and to receive a copy of your data in a portable format. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
You can exercise your rights by emailing support@maregames.co. You can also request account deletion as described on our Data Deletion page.
12. Security
We protect personal data with technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the risk. No system can be guaranteed fully secure.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post changes on this page and update the “Last updated” date above.
